Diversey Care to Award Sustainable Hospitality Managers

STURTEVANT, WI—Sealed Air’s Diversey Care division today announced it will be sponsoring the 42nd European Hotel Managers Association (EHMA) General Meeting, to be held in Geneva, Switzerland, from April 17-19, 2015.

EHMA has held its General Meeting annually since the Association’s establishment in 1974. Today, EHMA is the number one platform for collective intelligence, education, networking and professional development among European hotel managers of 4- and 5-star properties; and its General Meeting is a ‘must attend’ for those seeking to learn more about international best practice.

Diversey Care has been an official sponsor of the EHMA General Meeting since 2011, and will be once again this year, demonstrating the organization’s continued commitment to supporting the European hotel and hospitality industry in the cleaning and hygiene sector.

Furthermore, Dr. Ilham Kadri, President at Diversey Care and Vice President & Officer at Sealed Air, will be taking part in a panel discussion. The discussion will address the ‘Communication Revolution,’ focusing on the changes in communication strategies in the Web 2.0 era.

Diversey Care will also be presenting the ‘EHMA Sustainability Award by Diversey Care’ at the event. This award will recognize an EHMA General Manager who has implemented a program in their property which has had a significant, positive impact on the environment. The winner and runners-up will be announced on April 18.

Finally, Diversey Care will be operating a booth at the show, and attendees are encouraged to visit and share their sustainability priorities. With the support of EHMA, Diversey Care will be taking this opportunity to compile short video clips and input for the creation of a ‘Sustainability Manifesto.’ This manifesto will be shared with the industry, in order to help EHMA and similar, like-minded organizations develop and drive solutions that alleviate their greatest sustainability concerns.

Dr. Ilham Kadri commented on the news: “Diversey Care is proud to once again be an official sponsor of the EHMA General Meeting. The event has long been a ‘must attend’ for those aligned with the European hotel and hospitality industry. With an agenda featuring thought-provoking discussions and speeches by industry leaders and key decision makers, I am sure this year’s event will be another great success.
I am particularly looking forward to presenting the ‘EHMA Sustainability Award by Diversey Care’ with Hans Koch, President of EHMA. This award will acknowledge those European General Managers who are striving to transform the conventional understanding of sustainability and delivering the most efficient output.”
