The focus is definitely on uncovering new opportunities for those who plan to attend ISSA/INTERCLEAN® North America 2017, which takes place September 11–14, in Las Vegas, NV. Below are just a few of the new and exciting offerings attendees can discover during this year’s industry trade show.
Monday to ThurSTAY
This year’s event, themed “Uncover Extraordinary,” runs Monday through Thursday, a change from previous years’ schedules.
“We hear over and over from attendees that there is so much to see and do in the exhibit hall that it’s challenging to get it all in,” says Kim Althoff, ISSA director of conventions and meetings. “This change in the show schedule makes it more convenient for attendees to stay through Thursday and take advantage of that time to meet with exhibitors and see products and services they may have missed on Tuesday and Wednesday. It also means participants can get home for the weekend to enjoy family time or an extended stay is always fun in Las Vegas.”
Attendees who plan to stay through Thursday have the option to attend the following programming:
- State of the Economy Panel, 9:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m. Enjoy this lively, insightful, thought-provoking—and maybe even a little controversial—discussion with well-known thought-leaders.
- State of the Industry Panel, 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Whether you are a building service contractor, in-house service provider, or residential cleaner, there is a one-hour, industry-specific panel just for you.
- Ask the Experts, 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Take advantage of exclusive, one-on-one time with the industry’s leading consultants in the ISSA Resource Center, Booth 4900.
- ISSA Innovation Award Ceremony and Reception, 2:00 p.m. See who takes home the top award in the ISSA Innovation Award program, Booth 709
Meeting With Exhibitors
Ensure you have time to see, test, and learn about all the latest advances in facility solutions in the Outdoor Exhibits area and the exhibit hall.
The Latest Developments
This year’s show floor will feature more than 700 exhibitors displaying thousands of the latest facility solutions and a new Residential Cleaners Pavilion. You’ll also be able to see what’s new in the industry in the ISSA Innovation Showcase, Booth 709, where cutting-edge products and services take the spotlight. There, you will have the opportunity to vote for your favorites. (See page 20 for more information.)
The Great Outdoors
This year’s Outdoor Exhibits area provides a unique environment to get a hands-on look at equipment and enjoy demos. The area will feature expanded trade show hours, opening at 8:00 a.m., two hours earlier than the exhibit hall. Attendees can also stop by to enjoy food, drink, and entertainment in the Las Vegas sunshine.
True Guidance
Whether you are a veteran show-goer or a first-timer, the new Show Floor Guided Tours taking place Tuesday, September 12, 9:30 a.m.–10:30 a.m., will help you maximize your show experience and see the highlights of the exhibit hall.
Go All-Inclusive
Four full days of education will offer more than 60 educational seminars and training and certification workshops that focus on industry-wide issues.
“Survey after survey indicates that the cleaning industry is hungry for more training, education, and certification,” says Brant Insero, ISSA director of education, training, certifications, and standards. “The year’s educational lineup is designed to meet that growing need.”
The lineup offers opportunities to choose a specific seminar package or mix and match sessions to customize your experience. Visit www.issa.com/show to check out the complete schedule.
Novel Networking
One of the biggest benefits to attending ISSA/INTERCLEAN North America is the endless informal networking that happens during this one week when the entire industry comes together. This year’s schedule also includes two new events to jumpstart your face-to-face connections and peer-to-peer knowledge exchange.
The inspiration for these evening networking events is based on another change: The Association of Residential Cleaning Services International (ARCSI) Annual Cleaning Convention is now part of ISSA/INTERCLEAN thanks to the recent merger of ARCSI into the ISSA family. Details are as follows:
- Welcome Networking Reception, Sunday, September 10, 7:30 p.m.–10:30 p.m.
- Evening Roundtables, Monday, September 11, 7:30 p.m.–10:30 p.m.
These offerings complement such back-by-popular demand events as:
- ISSA Foundation Golf Tournament, Benefitting the ISSA Foundation, Cleaning for a Reason, and City of Hope, Sunday, September 10, 12:30 p.m.
- ISSA Lunch and Learn, Monday, September 11, 11:45 p.m.–12:45 p.m.
EPIC Co-Locators
Further strengthening the opportunities to learn and network is the addition of a new co-located show: epic 2017. This show is presented by TriMega and Independent Stationers, the industry’s leading office products dealer groups. epic will be held September 10-12, during the same week as ISSA/INTERCLEAN.
Additional co-location partners during the week include the Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI), Cleaning Equipment Trade Association (CETA), and IEHA.
Uncover Extraordinary
As the gathering place for more than 16,000 cleaning and facility professionals, there are opportunities to uncover extraordinary opportunities during every minute of ISSA/INTERCLEAN, where you’ll be surrounded by peers who, like you, are eager to learn, share ideas, exchange advice, and do business.
