Commercial cleaning continues to be plagued by workforce shortages, inconsistent cleans, and high costs. Whiz, an autonomous vacuum sweeper, addresses these problems using teach-and-repeat mapping and responsive navigation to augment the human workforce and remove a simple yet massive daily undertaking, vacuuming, from a commercial cleaning team’s task list.

Automating carpet cleaning allows for more frequent, comprehensive cleans, which are confirmed by the autonomous vacuum’s clean map, versus the standard spot cleans across the industry. Whiz is also safe and quiet enough to use in populated environments, smartly avoiding obstacles in its path. The robot assists in workforce management, providing consistent service, and making the work less arduous, in a high-turnover, high demand field. Whiz’s cloud component also allows it to improve over time via software updates.
