CMM Survey: BSCs Expect Increased Gross Sales Revenue in 2019

Most building service contractors (BSCs) who responded to the latest CMM BSC/Contract Cleaning Benchmarking Survey sponsored by Sunbelt Rentals projected an increase in gross sales revenue in 2019.

In fact, nearly 33% of respondents expect to increase revenue by more than 10%, and 55% expect to grow revenues more than 6%.

Looking back, most respondents (nearly 48%) reported their gross margin increased from 2017 to 2018.

When asked what their growth sales rate for 2018 was compared to 2017, most respondents reported a rate of 7% to 10%, followed closely by 4% to 6%.

The biggest factors that positively affected revenues in 2018 were acquisitions, a change in marketing strategy, and economic factors.
