Green Seal Launches Standards Steering Committee
Green Seal debuted its inaugural Standards Steering Committee, which will charge industry leaders and experts with transforming the company’s standards framework into a set of market-led health and environmental criteria.
The formation of the Steering Committee is part of Green Seal’s commitment to acting in alignment with consumer packaged goods, retail, institutional, and industrial products communities with the core elements of safer and more sustainable everyday products. This includes safer chemicals, responsible sourcing, low-impact manufacturing, sustainable packaging, and verified performance and claims.
Defining and driving consensus on criteria for these elements across the industry is a key step to reducing confusion in the marketplace that hinders consumers from putting their wallets where their values are.
The members of the Steering Committee are:
- Courtney Holm, co-chair and The Holm Edit managing director and founder.
- Roger McFadden, co-chair and McFadden and Associates president and chief science officer.
- Kira Austin, Aramark and Avendra International sustainable sourcing manager.
- Chris Cassell, Lowe’s vice president of corporate sustainability.
- Daniel Daggett, Solenis vice president of sustainability.
- Lisa Dreilinger, Arxada global head of regulatory, consumer microbial control.
- Art Esposito, Church & Dwight director of product stewardship and sustainability.
- Katherine Hoffman, Eastman sustainability strategic initiatives manager.
