IICRC Volunteers Needed for Development of New Standards

June 10, 2021

The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification (IICRC) is now accepting volunteers to serve on consensus bodies for the development of three new standards.

BSR/IICRC S210 Standard for Dimension Stone Maintenance and Restoration is a new standard for the cleaning, maintenance, restoration, rehabilitation, and repair of interior dimension stone.

BSR/IICRC S320 Standard for Professional Assessment, Cleaning, and Restoration of Contents is a proposed standard focused on the principles, methods, and processes to assess, inventory, pack-out, clean, restore, and enhance the appearance of materials, furniture, fixtures, and equipment located inside a facility.

BSR/IICRC S340 Standard for Professional Cleaning and Maintenance of Leather Furnishings establishes a procedural standard for the professional cleaning and maintenance of leather furnishings.

All new standards will be developed in accordance with the ANSI Essential Requirements as American National Standards. The deadline to volunteer for each consensus body is August 31. For more information, visit the IICRC website.
