Marcal and Nittany Paper Merge

Marcal, a Soundview Paper Co. has entered into an agreement to merge with Nittany Paper Mills Inc.

The merger allows for Marcal to restart its business operations in New Jersey, The Sentinel reports. Ninety percent of the company’s Elmwood Park, New Jersey, production facility was destroyed by a 10-alarm fire last year.

“The combination of Nittany Paper and Marcal is a unique opportunity to build upon the platform we have successfully built here at Nittany Paper,” said Don Chapman, founder of Nittany paper. “We are a strong company today, and this integration into Marcal makes us even stronger. Their team shares our values, thoroughly understands our business and brings industry expertise that will help us unlock opportunities for continued growth.”
