Nominate EVS Workers for Top Hygiene Specialist Award

May 13, 2020

UMF Corp. is now accepting nominations for its 2020 Hygiene Specialist® Excellence Award.

Now in its 11th year, UMF’s annual award highlights the contributions of environmental services (EVS) departments in hospitals and long-term care facilities. EVS managers are encouraged to nominate deserving staff members. The award recipient will receive an all-expenses paid trip for two, including airfare, to South Beach, Florida.

“We created the Hygiene Specialist Excellence Award to increase awareness of the invaluable contributions of EVS staff in creating a safe patient environment,” said George Clarke, UMF CEO. “The award is particularly significant this year, as EVS workers are risking their health and lives to deliver an essential service in helping stop COVID-19 from spreading throughout hospitals and long-term care centers.”

The deadline for nominations is July 15. For more information and to submit a nomination, visit UMF’s website.
