Nominate Your School Custodian for an Award

February 3, 2022

Cintas Corp. is now accepting submissions for its annual Custodian of the Year contest.

Now in its ninth year, the contest calls for elementary, middle, high-school, and college students, in addition to staff, to submit a short essay before March 2 describing why their school’s custodian deserves the award. Cintas will announce 10 finalists on March 16, at which time online voting for the winning custodian will commence on the company’s website.

The winning custodian will receive US$10,000 and an additional $5,000 in Rubbermaid Commercial Products and Cintas products for his/her school. The winner’s school will also receive a comprehensive training, development, and consultation package from ISSA valued at $20,000 and enrollment in the GBAC Fundamentals Online Course, provided by the Global Biorisk Advisory Council™ (GBAC), a Division of ISSA. The nine runners-up will each receive $1,000 and free tuition to one ISSA Cleaning Management Institute (CMI) training event, valued at up to $1,500.

“Custodians are valuable members of any community who help to create clean and safe learning environments for students, faculty, staff and visitors,” said John Barrett. “Their dedication is remarkable, and ISSA is proud to work with Cintas to honor the best school custodians in the country.”
