Trump Unveils Picks for EPA, Energy Dept. Deputy Chiefs
President Trump plans to nominate Douglas Benevento to be the EPA’s deputy administrator and Mark Menezes to serve as deputy Energy secretary within the Energy Department.

IRS Offers Proposed Updates for Income Tax Withholding
Proposed regulations from the IRS would provide guidance for employers concerning the amount of federal income tax to withhold from employees’ wages, implementing changes made in the law known as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and reflecting the redesigned Form W-4, which has been renamed Employee’s Withholding Certificate.

States Sue EPA over Changes to Chemical Safety Rule
Attorneys general of 14 states and the District of Columbia filed a lawsuit asking the U.S. District Court of Appeals to vacate the EPA’s Risk Management Program Reconsideration final rule, which went into effect December 19, 2019.
