Aramark—a provider of food services, facility management, and uniform and career appel—has been awarded a US$16.6 million contract with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.
The three-year food management and procurement deal calls for Aramark to oversee food purchasing, inventory, and logistics at 26 correctional facilities throughout Pennsylvania. The state’s Department of Corrections will retain responsibility for menu planning and food preparation, The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
