EU Releases New Ecolabel Requirements

The European Union (EU) has released new limits for its EU Ecolabel criteria.

Established in 1992, the EU Ecolabel program identifies products that have a reduced environmental impact. The updated guidelines, which go into effect June 2017, include a ban on microplastics in products and stricter guidelines for the use of preservatives, The European Cleaning Journal reports.
