How Cleaning Operations Assessments Empower BSCs and Facilities

Identifying the weak spots in your cleaning operations is the first step for improvement

In any industry, there’s always room for improvement. But in order to improve, you first need to identify the weak spots.

In this episode of Straight Talk!, Mike Sawchuk of Sawchuk Consulting talks with ISSA Media Director Jeff Cross about the importance using assessments to improve both the quality and the efficiency of your cleaning operations.

“Assessments provide you with valuable information,” Sawchuk said, “and that information is valuable because it should tell you where, what, how, and why, in order to develop a plan for improving results—lowering costs, lowering risks, including the risk of negligence, as well as being best prepared for long-term success.”

Sawchuk cautioned viewers not to confuse assessing with benchmarking, as assessments, he said, provide deeper, wider, more relevant details.

To find out more, including what proper cleaning operation assessments should look like and the problems to avoid while performing them, check out the video or listen to the podcast below.
