PROTEAM® Joins American Lung Association’s Lung Force

ST. LOUIS, MO—ProTeam®, the company that created the Next Generation of backpack vacuums, joins American Lung Association’s LUNG FORCE in a social campaign to increase awareness of the threat of lung cancer to women. This is the second year of ProTeam’s support for LUNG FORCE and the twelfth year of a longstanding educational partnership with American Lung Association in efforts to educate the public about the importance of healthy indoor air.

“We have a common goal with the American Lung Association, to protect and improve the lung health of Americans,” said ProTeam Vice President and General Manager, Matt Reimers. “We hope that, through this campaign, more people will become aware of the risk of lung cancer and choose to take action.”

Every five minutes, a woman in the United States is told she has lung cancer, and early detection and treatment of lung cancer can lead to higher survival rates. To increase awareness of the threat of lung cancer, ProTeam has pledged to donate an initial 2,500 dollars and hold a social campaign to double that amount through action-triggered donations. For every share of ProTeam LUNG FORCE posts on Facebook and every retweet of ProTeam LUNG FORCE tweets on Twitter, ProTeam will donate additional funds up to a total of 5,000 dollars to support the work of the American Lung Association and LUNG FORCE.

“The benefit of this campaign is twofold,” said ProTeam Director of Marketing Jacalyn High. “When social media users retweet and share, they increase awareness of lung cancer in their circles. Plus, for every retweet and share, we will donate additional funds to LUNG FORCE. It’s a win-win scenario.”

ProTeam’s Next Generation backpack vacuums have Four Level® Filtration w/HEPA to capture 99.97 percent of indoor pollutants 0.3 microns and larger and improve Indoor Air Quality. Healthy indoor air is a crucial component to ongoing lung health.

ProTeam’s social campaign supporting LUNG FORCE will be held from May 12, 2015 to August 12, 2015. Join the campaign by sharing your voice at www.facebook.com/ProTeamVacuums and www.twitter.com/ProTeamVacuums on Twitter.
