3M to Consolidate Business Units

March 19, 2019

3M has announced plans to restructure its business from five operating divisions to four.

The new structure will consist of four business units—safety and industrial, transportation and electronics, health care, and consumer. Previously the company’s safety and industrial divisions operated as separate units.

3M will begin reporting its financial results under the new structure starting with the second quarter of 2019.
