Aramark Names Chief Operating Officer

Aramark has appointed Carl Mittleman chief operating officer of the company’s international division.

Mittleman has been with Aramark for more than 25 years. For the past five years, Mittleman has served as president of the company’s sports and entertainment division. He succeeds Brent Franks who is departing the company. In a related move, Alison Birdwell has been promoted to Mittleman’s previously held position.

“Carl has a history of building strong and enduring partnerships with clients and developing a leadership team that has led the business to a position of prominence in the industry,” said John Zillmer, Aramark CEO. “I am confident that under Carl’s leadership, the International business will create additional opportunities to drive strong performance with a focus on innovation and hospitality.”
