Colgate-Palmolive Issues Fabuloso Recall

February 13, 2023

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Colgate-Palmolive Co. recently issued a voluntary recall for the following Fabuloso® brand cleaning products due to the risk of exposure to bacteria:

  • Fabuloso Original Multi-Purpose Cleaner Refreshing Lemon Scent
  • Fabuloso Original Multi-Purpose Cleaner Lavender Scent
  • Fabuloso Multi-Purpose Cleaner 2X Concentrated Formula, Lemon Scent
  • Fabuloso Multi-Purpose Cleaner 2X Concentrated Formula, Passion of Fruits Scent.

The products, recalled on February 8, might contain Pseudomonas species bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Pseudomonas fluorescens. People with weakened immune systems, underlying lung conditions, or external medical devices who are exposed to the bacteria may face a risk of serious infection that could require medical treatment. Pseudomonas can enter the body if inhaled, through the eyes, or through a break in the skin. People with healthy immune systems are usually not affected by the bacteria. As of October 28, no incidents or injuries had yet been reported.

The affected products were produced between December 14, 2022, and January 23, 2023, when the manufacturing issue was corrected. To view a complete list of products or to file a reimbursement request, visit www.Fabulosorecall.com.
