Female Urinals Can Shorten Restroom Lines

August 27, 2019

Long lines of women waiting to use the restroom is a common sight at outdoor festivals, athletic tournaments, and other events held in stadiums and entertainment facilities. The creators of a pink plastic toilet, dubbed a female urinal, believe it can shorten restroom lines, making life easier for both restroom patrons and cleaners, the European Cleaning Journal reports.

The structure contains three urinals arranged in a spiral with raised seats and no doors. For privacy they feature walls that are low enough for users to see over but high enough to prevent people outside the structure from looking inside. Made of recyclable polyethylene, the structure can be hosed down for cleaning. It has a 1,100-liter tank for collecting liquid waste, or it can be linked to an existing sewage system.
