GBAC Director Named Top Meetings Industry Influencer

Patricia Olinger, executive director of the Global Biorisk Advisory Council^® (GBAC), a Division of ISSA, has been named to Meetings and Conventions Magazine’s (M&C) 2020 list of the top 25 influencers of the meetings industry.

The publication’s annual index spotlights professionals from a variety of fields for their contributions to the meeting industry. This year’s list in particular spotlighted influencers for their responses to the COVID-19 pandemic and their actions to help the convention industry plot a course for recovery. Olinger was recognized for her work in developing the GBAC STAR™ accreditation program, which has helped provide dozens of facilities worldwide with the confidence to reopen safely.
