Hygieia Network Schedules Diversity Seminar and Awards During ISSA Show 2020

ISSA Hygieia Network, an ISSA Charities signature program dedicated to the advancement and retention of women in the cleaning industry, announced that it will host the virtual educational session, “Building a Thriving Culture Through Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion,” on Tuesday, November 17 from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. CST during the ISSA Show North America Virtual Experience. All ISSA Show attendees are invited to attend the free event.

“Although our event and awards reception will look quite different this year, we feel it’s more important than ever to address the value of diversity in the cleaning industry and recognize the outstanding women and organizations that have stepped up during this difficult time,” said Meredith Reuben, ISSA Hygieia Network chairwoman. “We look forward to sharing our programs with everyone virtually.”

The educational session will feature two inspiring speakers, including Erin Mitchell Richeson, Kimberly-Clark Professional vice president of diversity and inclusion, and Ravi Saligram, Newell Brands CEO.

Shortly after the session, ISSA Hygieia Network will announce the winners of its annual awards on at 5:15 p.m. CST. Submit your nominations for ISSA Hygieia Network’s Member of the Year and Rising Star of the Year award now through Wednesday, October 14 at https://www.research.net/r/ISSAHygieiaNetwork.

The two award categories include: 

• The Hygieia Member of the Year, which recognizes the ISSA Hygieia Network member’s involvement (individual or company) in activities that fulfill the organization’s mission and vision.
• The Rising Star of the Year, which honors one woman aged 45 or younger who has made achievements and demonstrated consistent upward mobility in her career within the industry.

Nominations are open to the public and will be evaluated by a select group of jury members.
