ISSA Show North America Starts Today

After a one-year hiatus, the cleaning industry is once again gathering in person this week to learn about best disinfection and maintenance practices, examine the latest equipment and products, and network with colleagues. ISSA Show North America 2021 is taking place in the new West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center today through Thursday.

The show features more than 60 education sessions in eight specialty tracks, including commercial cleaning, hospitality, healthcare, and schools. The educational sessions start this morning and include spotlight speaker Crystal Washington, a technology strategist. During a Lunch & Learn session, Washington will identify the significant ways in which technology is reprogramming cleaning workers and their clients’ needs. She will help attendees discover unique ways to embrace technology trends to avoid burnout and offer suggestions for addressing labor shortages.  

On Tuesday the exhibition floor will open at 10 a.m., featuring more than 500 exhibitors as well as meeting hubs, pavilions, theaters, and the ISSA Resource Center. Solve for X Theater Sessions will tackle topics ranging from legislative updates and industry leader roundtables to estimating cleaning production rates. Also on the show floor, Specialty Theater Sessions will look at techniques for carpet and hard floor cleaning, staffing recruitment strategies, and numerous other cleaning and managerial topics.

Exhibition floor and classroom activities will continue Wednesday. A Customer Power Panel: What’s Next for the Cleaning Industry? will help you discover what the future of cleaning looks like from your customers’ view. Panel speakers will help attendees understand today’s data and trends and what they indicate for the future, and pinpoint which technologies, trends and investments are on your customers’ radars in the short and long term.

Thursday will begin with the ISSA General Business Meeting. Members are welcome to attend to network and meet the incoming board of directors. President Steve Lewis will deliver his farewell address and introduce the incoming president. Members will also be privy to a state-of-the-association report and a report on ISSA Charities™, the philanthropic and charitable arm of ISSA.

The show will wrap up with the announcement of the Innovation Award Program’s five honorees and the overall winner. Everyone is invited to a show floor happy hour at the Innovation Showcase, Booth #226, where the winners will be announced. The awards will go to companies chosen through a combination of online votes and by a curated panel of judges.
