Miami Man Named Key Custodian

June 7, 2021

Tennant Co. has named Alonzo Henly the grand prize winner of its second-annual Custodians Are Key recognition program.

Initially launched in September 2019, the program recognizes the work K-12 custodians are doing in schools across the United States. Parents, teachers, and school administrators were invited to nominate custodians for their efforts to provide students with a healthy and safe educational environment.

Henly of Brownsville Middle School in Miami, Florida, was one of 12 finalists chosen from a pool of more than 2,000 nominations. As the grand prize winner, Henly will receive a prize valued at US$5,000 while his school receives $10,000.
