New City Named Top Bed Bug Area

Three-time “champ” no longer No. 1 on the list

Washington, D.C.  has taken the top spot in Orkin Pest Control’s 2020 Top 50 Bed Bug Cities list, knocking the reigning three-time “champion” Baltimore down a peg.

The list is based on data from areas where Orkin performed the most bed bug treatments. Commercial and residential buildings that were treated from December 1, 2018 to November 30, 2019 were included in the analysis.

The top 10 cities that were treated for bed bugs were:

  1. Washington, D.C.
  2. Baltimore
  3. Chicago
  4. Los Angeles
  5. Columbus, Ohio
  6. New York
  7. Detroit
  8. Cincinnati
  9. Indianapolis
  10. Atlanta
