Vectair Systems on the way to Green Glory

Vectair Systems have won a Green Apple Environment Award in the international campaign to find the greenest companies, councils, and communities. Competing against more than 500 other nominations in the Green Apple Awards for Environmental Best Practice, the award will be presented with the Green Apple trophy and certificate at a glittering presentation ceremony in the Houses of Parliament, London on Monday, November 16.

Vectair Systems was recognized as an award winner for the Vectair V-Air® SOLID multi-phasing air freshener with sub-micron technology. Vectair V-Air® SOLID is classified as VOC exempt and waste-free. It is completely free of any solvents, propellants, HFCs and harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Vectair V-Air® SOLID contains no batteries. It is designed so that it does not need any external power source and it doesn’t rely on gravity – all it needs to work is natural airflow. The refill is 100% organic and biodegradable and the dispenser is 100% recyclable.

As a result of this Green Apple Award success, Vectair Systems have been invited to have the winning paper published in The Green Book, the leading international work of reference on environmental best practice.
Paul Wonnacott, Managing Director and President, Vectair Systems says: “We pride ourselves on being innovators in hygiene and the environment is something that our customers are increasingly becoming aware of. We have therefore invested a lot of time and resources into producing effective ‘green’ solutions and we are thrilled to have won such a prestigious accolade as the Green Apple Award for Vectair V-Air® SOLID!”

The Green Apple Awards began in 1994 and have become established as the country’s major recognition for environmental endeavor among companies, councils, communities and countries. The awards are organised by The Green Organisation, an independent, non-political, non-activist, non-profit environment group dedicated to recognising, rewarding and promoting environmental best practice around the world. The Green Apple Awards are supported by the Environment Agency, the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, the Chartered Institution for Wastes Management and other independent bodies.
