Comments Sought on New Healthy Green Schools and Colleges Standard

June 8, 2021

The Healthy Schools Campaign (HSC) and Green Seal® have opened public review for their Healthy Green Schools & Colleges Standard.

The draft standard was developed in partnership with directors on the Healthy Green Schools & Colleges Steering Committee. It is geared toward both K-12 school districts and higher education institutions and is the centerpiece of a comprehensive program designed to support facility management professionals. The standard covers such topics as cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting; HVAC and electric maintenance; indoor air quality testing and monitoring; and pest management.

Green Seal and the HSC are inviting public comments on its draft standard through July 16. Cleaning professionals are encouraged to download the standard and submit comments online via the Healthy Green Schools website.
