CRI Announces Updated Sustainability Assessment for Carpet

September 5, 2019

The Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) Inc. has released an updated edition of NSF/ANSI 140 Sustainability Assessment for Carpet.

Originally published in 2005, NSF/ANSI 140 is a multi-attribute sustainability standard for carpet which helps building designers, facility managers, and cleaning professionals identify sustainable carpet products.

“Sustainability continues to be a priority for our industry,” said Joe Yarbrough, CRI president. “The update to NSF/ANSI 140 reflects changes in the industry and technology that maintains this standard as the best for certifying sustainable products.”
