Get Involved in Cleaning for a Reason Week

If you’re looking for a charitable cause within the cleaning industry, consider helping cancer patients receive free house cleanings by participating in Cleaning for a Reason Week, April 18 – 24.

Cleaning for a Reason, an ISSA Charities™ signature program, is a nonprofit organization that offers free home cleaning to cancer patients in the United States and Canada. Its goal is to remove the burden of cleaning and allow those recovering from surgery, in active treatment, or in hospice to focus on their health and spending valuable time with loved ones.

You don’t have to own or work for a residential cleaning company to get involved. There are many ways commercial cleaning companies and other organizations in the cleaning industry can participate:

• Become a corporate sponsor – Sponsors provide the funding that make it possible for residential cleaners to provide services for free.
• Start a fundraiser – Get your employees involved by creating an easy, online fundraiser within your company. Set the fundraiser for Cleaning for a Reason Week or the entire month of April.
• Donate – Organizations can donate in honor of or in memory of a loved one.
• Share information – If you work at a health care organization, you can share information about the free house cleanings with health care providers so they can pass along the details to their patients.

Spread the word on social media – From April 18-24, we ask our donors and sponsors to post information about Cleaning for a Reason’s mission, patient testimonials, photos, videos, and other reasons why you support us. Use the hashtag #cleaningforareasonweek and tag us on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram
