Help Provide Clean Homes to Cancer Patients This Week
Cleaning for a Reason, an ISSA Charities™ signature program that provides clean homes for cancer patients, takes place April 18-24, 2022. This week, Cleaning for a Reason, its residential cleaning partners, sponsors, and the cleaning industry community will come together to build awareness of the charity’s mission and raise funds to reach more cancer patients.
“Each year, our generous cleaning partners and sponsors answer the call to expand the impact of Cleaning for a Reason,” said Cleaning for a Reason Founder Debbie Sardone. “I am proud of our community’s work to give cancer patients a clean and safe home and look forward to reaching more patients, partners, and sponsors this Cleaning for a Reason Week.”
Cleaning for a Reason partners with residential cleaning companies to offer free house cleanings to cancer patients in the United States and Canada. Cleaning partners give two home cleanings to each man, woman, and child undergoing cancer treatment in their communities who apply and receive a match. Cleaning for a Reason Week aims to encourage more cleaning partners to join the network and serve a greater number of patients.
During the event, ISSA member companies can support the cause by becoming a Cleaning for a Reason corporate sponsor or launching a company-wide fundraising campaign. By contributing to Cleaning for a Reason, sponsors further the mission of providing a sigh of relief to cancer patients across North America and can realize benefits to employee engagement and brand recognition.
“A cancer diagnosis can turn someone’s life upside down and cause routine tasks like home cleaning to fall by the wayside,” said ISSA Charities Director of Development Sandy Wolfrum. “I encourage both individuals and companies to get involved in Cleaning for a Reason Week and help Cleaning for a Reason bring joy and a clean home to cancer patients and their families.”
