National Safety Month Is Almost Here

May 27, 2021

June is National Safety Month, which focuses not only on protecting yourself at home but also following best practices to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.

CMM’s website features a section dedicated to health and safety topics where you can learn tips on everything from fire safety (using fireproof coatings in your facility) to employee health (cleaning your facility to stop the spread of infection-causing pathogens). CMM’s news section offers best practices to protect your facility and workers from seasonal dangers reported in the news such as wildfires, tornadoes, and hurricanes. It also highlights national campaigns such as Stand-Down to Prevent Falls.

The National Safety Council (NSC) is commemorating National Safety Month by offering a variety of free materials on four weekly topics including incident prevention, ongoing COVID-19 safety concerns, psychological safety, and continuous safety improvement.
