New survey reveals most common music for cleaning

Professional cleaners: If you haven’t already, you may want to download some of your favorite tunes for that next long workday. A new One Poll survey found that about 66 Americans listen to music while cleaning their homes to help motivate them to get through the task, Fox News reports.

The top music choice for house cleaning is hip-hop and rap, followed by the blues, perhaps because people are blue about having to spend the day cleaning. Rock and roll is the third most popular genre for cleaning.

More than half of the survey participants said they don’t mind cleaning because it relaxes them. But the majority said they clean to procrastinate completing other tasks.
