Tennant Announces 2023 Custodians Are Key Campaign

September 19, 2023

Tennant Co. is now accepting nominations for its fifth-annual Custodians Are Key recognition program.

First launched in September 2019, the annual program recognizes the work K–12 custodians are doing in educational facilities across the United States. This year’s campaign theme is a school yearbook, providing a look back over the past four years of the contest while highlighting the current and past custodians who keep schools safe, clean, and healthy.

Parents, teachers, and school administrators are invited to nominate custodians through October 31 for their efforts to provide students with a healthy and safe educational environment. Tennant will then choose 12 finalists, who will each receive a US$500 gift card. The grand prize winner will be selected in May 2024 and receives a prize valued at $5,000, while his or her school receives $10,000.

“It’s so incredible to launch the fifth year of this campaign and to reflect on the nearly 50 custodians from across the U.S. and Canada that have been recognized in past Custodians Are Key years,” said Amanda Herbert, Tennant senior manager of marketing and sales enablement. “Our life’s work is to empower others to create a cleaner, safer, healthier world—and this campaign helps us achieve that by bringing to light the stories of those who do what it takes to get the job done. We are so excited to hear all the amazing new stories of how custodians across the U.S. and Canada are going above and beyond in their schools and communities”
