Video Offers Details on the GBAC Star Accreditation

May 28, 2020

Are you considering having your facility accredited so patrons know it is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases? Watch this video detailing the GBAC STAR™ accreditation, a new global program from the Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC), a division of ISSA, that established requirements to control risks associated with infectious agents.

The program focuses on evidence-based training and methodologies for facility staff, as well as tips for developing certified emergency response teams that can be deployed when the level of risk is especially high. It also teaches cleaning staff how to perform risk assessments, take the proper precautions, and use the proper cleaning tools and procedures in their battle against pathogens.

Accreditation criteria and facility applications are now available on the GBAC website.
