The U.S. Senate voted 43-52 against a resolution proposed by Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY) which would have nullified rules blocking some workarounds to the US$10,000 state and local tax (SALT) deduction cap. The SALT deduction cap was part of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.
