Cleaning Robot Assists Sacramento Hospital Staff

The Sutter Medical Center in Sacramento, CA, recently brought a cleaning robot to assist its environmental services department disinfection procedures.

The robot uses ultraviolet light to destroy infectious microbes such as Ebola, Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, and C. difficile. Sutter Medical utilizes the robot as an assistant for its cleaning crews, not as a replacement, according to KTXL-TV.
