Green Cleaning Advocate David Holly Passes Away

Longtime green cleaning advocate David R. Holly passed away February 21, 2017. He was 60 years old.

A graduate of North Dakota State University, Holly began his career in the jansan industry as a building service contractor. He then joined SC Johnson, parent company of SC Johnson Professional, as a business development manager in 1988. He was named senior marketing manager in 1993 and director of sales and marketing in 1995, a position he held until leaving SC Johnson in 1997.

Holly joined the Ashkin Group in 2001, where he helped form the Green Cleaning University. Holly also co-wrote the book Green Cleaning for Dummies with Stephen Ashkin in 2007. He most recently was a member of Segura and Associates.

Holly is survived by his wife of 22 years, Karen, and two daughters.
