How long should it take to daily clean a 24,000 sq. ft. library that includes 20,000 sq. ft. of carpeting, 4,000 sq. ft. of vct and 5 washrooms totaling 1,000 sq. ft?
Friday’s Answer:
The cleaning time would likely run 7 ½ to 9 hours a night depending upon the building’s challenges.
The cleaning variables would include: the amount of traffic, number of employees, size and frequency of use of any meeting rooms, size and speed of vacuum cleaning systems, type and color of carpet, and, during the winter, the amount of ice melt tracked in, just to name a few.
The traffic count could be affected by the amount of school field trips, nightly use of meeting rooms, and close proximity to homeless shelters.
