New Hampshire School Worker Contracts MRSA

School officials issued a health warning for Ross A. Lurgio Middle School and Bedford High School in Bedford, NH, after a food service worker was diagnosed with Methicillian-resistant Staphylococcus aureus—or MRSA—over the weekend.

Both middle and high school kitchens have been bleached and sanitized and the infected worker will stay home until she receives clearance from a doctor, school officials told WMUR-TV. The school district maintains that its kitchens are safe.
