Ohio University Considers Two-Ply Toilet Paper Switch

The facility management of Ohio University (OU) in Athens, OH, is considering a switch from one-ply to two-ply toilet paper throughout the campus buildings as a possible cost-saving measure.

The two-ply toilet paper is currently being deployed to sections of the Alden Library and Copeland Hall. Steve Mack, director of facilities management for OU, said officials will monitor high-traffic areas switching from one-ply to two-ply and mark changes in usage patterns, according to The Post. Mack added that it is too soon to tell when or if OU will fully shift to two-ply.

Students have asked for the university to switch to two-ply toilet paper due to complaints of its lack of durability.
