Airport Custodian Finds Passenger’s Lost Money

June 23, 2021

Although some people may be tempted to keep large amounts of cash they find, an airport custodian in India did not think twice about returning it to its rightful owner.

Jeki Chavda, a custodian working at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, India, found US$750 wrapped in a plastic bag in a tray at the domestic terminal, the Ahmedabad Mirror reports. He handed over the money to security officers, who were able to track down the owner using video footage.

The passenger was unaware he had lost the cash during check-in at the terminal. He was very grateful to retrieve the money before he boarded his flight.
