Cleaning Services Market Could Reach $27B by 2028

Sophisticated cleaning technologies and tools appear to be one reason for the growth.

According to a global study by SkyQuest Technology Consulting Pvt. Ltd., the worldwide cleaning services market size, estimated at US$168.34 billion in 2021, is anticipated to surpass $276 billion by 2028, a compound annual grown rate (CAGR) of 6.5.

The commercial cleaning segment is expected to experience the fastest growth rate, reaching a 58% market share by 2028. Europe and Asia Pacific are predicted to grow at the highest rates, with respective CAGRs of 8.1% and 7.4%. The study also predicted that the rise in demand for cleaning services would create 5% year-on-year employment annually.

The report noted the advancement of commercial cleaning technologies, particularly automation, as one of the reasons for the predicted growth. Other key factors included consumers’ concern over workplace hygiene, employee well-being, and sustainability, as well as the increase in residential and commercial building construction.
