CMM Online Poll: Majority View COVID-19 As Major Inconvenience

May 7, 2020

The impact of COVID-19 on employment and business is being felt around the world with repercussions still yet to be seen in the professional cleaning industry. While many businesses in our industry have seen a surge in service demands as cleaning and disinfecting requirements become more stringent, many others have seen business decline due to facility closures and quarantines. No matter what end of the spectrum you are on, it is likely you’re experiencing some inconvenience during this time as evidenced by results of CMM’s online poll, which was open for voting during April 2020 and collected 159 responses.

A majority (41.2%) who took the poll expect to experience “a major inconvenience” due to COVID-19. Another 15.7% are worried of financial devastation. However, nearly the same number of respondents who expect devastation expect to experience only a “minor inconvenience” (15.1%).

No matter what you are experiencing right now, CMM and our publisher ISSA are here to help cleaning industry professionals understand how to properly clean and safely disinfect for the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) with information, resources, and helpful perspectives from industry experts and your peers. Take the latest CMM poll to share your plans for reopening your business as states loosen closure regulations.
