Effects of a Living Wage Program on the Cleaning Industry

The contract cleaning industry is competitive and driven by price. But not paying building service contractors (BSCs) enough to maintain their quality of life leads to worker turnover at a time when employers are struggling with a labor shortage.

Implementing a “living wage” program can help BSCs provide their workers with a decent quality of life while remaining competitive enough to land more clients and contracts.
