Latest Flu Activity Above the Baseline

The number of people seeing their physicians for influenza symptoms was higher than average for the first time this season, according to this week’s report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

For the week ending November 25, 2.3 percent of people saw their health care provider, compared to the baseline of 2.2 percent, Infection Control Today reports. Louisiana, Mississippi, and South Carolina experienced high influenza activity, and Georgia experienced moderate influenza activity.
