Texas Biohazard Cleaners Train for Coronavirus

February 7, 2020

If any cases of coronavirus are found in the Dallas area, local cleaning experts will be well prepared thanks to the two-day training they obtained this week from the Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC), a division of ISSA, KDWF Fox News reports.

To date, no cases of coronavirus have been reported in Texas, but state health experts believe it is important to be prepared. So, biohazard cleaning crews from North Texas underwent training on the proper protective gear and the latest technology effective in disinfecting facilities after coronavirus exposure.

“We hope we’re all correct in that this doesn’t become a real public health issue here in the United States, but it’s one of those things we need to be prepared ahead of time,” said Patty Olinger, GBAC executive director.
