Norovirus Outbreak for California School District

A norovirus outbreak has been reported by the Rio School District in Oxnard, CA.

Ventura County, CA, Public Health officials stated more than 500 students at six schools have exhibited symptoms of the gastrointestinal illness during the past two weeks. The school district is working with the county health department to reduce the spread of the virus. School administrators have asked parents to keep children at home if they display norovirus-like symptoms, KABC-TV reports.
