ABM Secures Energy Performance Contract With Georgia School System

January 9, 2023

ABM has secured an energy performance contract with the Dooly County School System in Dooly County, Georgia.

The contract calls for ABM to upgrade the district’s elementary and high schools with energy-efficient HVAC systems, LED lighting, upgraded building controls, and water conservation enhancements. ABM will also expand Dooly County’s school bus maintenance facility and upgrade the district’s student athletic facilities, including a new roof on the high school’s gymnasium.

Based on current energy prices, the deal is expected to reduce the facilities’ energy consumption and save the school system more than US$3.7 million in energy and operating costs during the next 20 years. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
