National Public Health Week is April 4-10

April 4, 2022

National Public Health Week 2022Coming on the heels of National Cleaning Week (NCW), is National Public Health Week (NPHW), April 4-10.

The COVID-19 pandemic has shed light on how cleaning and hygiene go hand in hand with public health and the role professional cleaners plays in preventing infectious disease outbreaks such as COVID-19.

An initiative of the American Public Health Association, NPHW is intended to bring together communities across the United States to recognize the contributions of public health and highlight issues important to improving the nation’s health.

This year’s NPHW theme is, “Public Health Is Where You Are.”  “Where we live impacts our communities’ health. And we can make our communities healthier, stronger, and safer,” the NPHW website says.

NPHW is observed the first full week of April each year. For more information and a toolkit for ways to get involved, visit nphw.org.
