August 10, 2020

Although many workers experienced job loss and work slow downs in the early stages of the coronavirus pandemic, among Cleaning & Maintenance Management readers who participated in a CMM online poll, most replied that they had continued to work full time throughout the pandemic.

The poll asked readers how their business was planning to proceed as states formulated plans to reopen their economies. Among survey respondents:

  • 6% reported they had been working full-time or overtime during the pandemic and would continue to do so
  • 7% reported they had been working part-time and would continue to do so, or would gradually increase their hours
  • 6% reported they had not been working but were planning to return part-time
  • 6% reported the question was not applicable to their situation
  • 5% reported they not been working but were planning to return full-time.
