Straight Talk on Advocacy Efforts for the Cleaning Industry

January 26, 2021

In the latest edition of Straight Talk!, ISSA Director of Government Affairs John Nothdurft takes time out from his busy schedule to update viewers on the association’s latest advocacy efforts.

Nothdurft recaps the US$900 billion pandemic-aid bill passed late last year and how ISSA worked to ensure the cleaning industry’s needs were included in the relief package. He also details ISSA’s efforts to address the qualified expenses required to maintain a healthy and safe environment in the workplace via the inclusion of the Clean Start: Back to Work Tax Credit Act in future aid packages.

Also in this edition of Straight Talk!, Nothdurft offers a preview of the upcoming Clean Advocacy Summit, the highlight of National Cleaning Week. Traditionally a fly-in event, this year’s summit is being presented virtually and offers all ISSA members the opportunity to network and hear from some exceptional speakers on how to get politically involved. Attendees will be able to interact directly with members of Congress and their staff on key issues facing cleaning industry businesses.

Tune into Straight Talk! below and be sure to register today for the Clean Advocacy Summit.
