3M Files Legal Action Against Second Price Gouging Incident

April 16, 2020

3M has filed legal action in a Florida federal court against Geftico LLC.

3M’s lawsuit alleges that the Orlando, Florida-based Geftico is falsely claiming to be affiliated with 3M. In addition, Geftico is accused of twice trying to sell tens of millions of allegedly nonexistent 3M N95 respirators at inflated prices to the federal Division of Strategic National Stockpile.

3M is seeking an injunction for Geftico to cease its activities and pay an undisclosed sum of damages. 3M claims any damages awarded will be donated to COVID-19 relief funds. Earlier this week, 3M filed a similar suit against a New Jersey-based distributor.
